cooling lights

I have a 400watt HQI with 75 watt vho in a closet above my 120 gallon tank. Any one know where I can get good fans that move alot of air? I only have 3 1/2 inches up/down but side to side I have 2 feet in my closet drywall. I looked at the ice cap speed variable fans but they run about $50 and I would need at least 4 and dont feel like paying over $200 for fans. Any suggestions?

Hi DJK,

Many reefkeepers use the computer fans they sell at places like Radio Shack. The case cooling fans can be had for under $10 and move quite a bit of air. You may also need a small DC power supply to run them but that is also cheap.

Will these be enough to suck the air out of a 4x4 closet with 400watt metal halide? Will I need another vent of some sort? Do you know if you can string about 4 together on one dc power supply?

If you can mount two blowing in and two vent fans on the other side of the cabinet it should. A 400 watt power supply can run 4 fans without problems and costs under $15.
