I'd likely use a small T5 setup, still with a reflector per bulb, though.

I've had great luck with a Coralife CF unit. I run the Blue Acintric when my tank lights are on and the white at night. I have great growth in it.

Any small T5 that fits over the refugium should be fine. PC is okay as well, but perhaps less efficient.

Normal Output T5 Light Strips

One or two of these $26 normal output T5 light strips should work: http://www.marineandreef.com/shoppro...qualightT5.htm. They generate about 96 lumens per watt (http://www.lrc.rpi.edu/programs/nlpi.../lat5/pc1a.asp).

At ~60 lumens per watt, PC lighting is less efficient.

I use a LOA/Flourex 65W 6500K floodlight over my 30G fuge. The Chaeto grows like mad. You can get them at Home Depot.
