diatoms in cycle

They came like crazy, stopped, and for the most part went away except for the dead spots of the tank, should I throw in a cleanup crew, and what's best for this?

More info needed. What are your water parameters with readings not just okay please. How long has the tank been up? How big? LR how much?

I would only add a cleanup crew after the cycle is totally done. 0's across the board.

Okay. It's a 46 bowfront with a coralife HOB skimmer (for up to 65gallons) on it and I just put in 25lbs of live rock that has some coraline on it and another 20lbs of base rock. It's got a 600gph "powerhead" keeping the flow up until I use it for my refugium I'm building, so there is still good flow. I guess I'm going to buy a test kit this weekend, is there anything WRONG about the petsmart Saltwater Master test kits??

Don't know never used one. People on the site really talk highly of Salifert. Pretty expensive from what I have seen. I am using the Instant Ocean Ocean Master Kit. Seems okay. I have my readings verified by the LFS once in a while.
