chaeto getting into display tank
added a nice new ball of chaeto to my fuge today and im noticing small strands making it into my display tank.
is this a problem, any suggestions to correct it if so. thanks |

How is your sump set up? Is there teeth or eggcrate so the chaeto doesn't overflow into the return pump? Probably just a few strays got loose.

the wall seperating the main chamber from the return chamber has a slit cut through it about 1/2" maybe a little more tall and about 8 inches long. the water doesnt overflow over the top, just through the gap.

Either way, a small amount of cheato getting into your tank is not a problem.
