I need help with researching live rock
I'm doing some research. I would like to know what you think of the live rock available at your LFS.
To be more specific What types do they offer? Sizes and shapes available. Is it mostly boulder rock or unique shapes? Quality.. any macro algae, coraline coverage, general care to preserve live on the rock Is the tank lit? Amd the big question.....what is the price. i know I have seen from $9.99 to $11.00 per pound. If you could hand pick your rock, if the rock was a high quality, what price would you pay? Thanks for your help!! |

My LFS offer usually a mix of Fiji, Tonga, or Marshall Island LR. I can hand pick all of my pieces. Rarely do they have alot of coraline, but usually has some. Always has alot of life.
It is usually always fully cured, tanks are lit, and always has adequate flow. Prices range from $5.99 to 7.99 a pound. |
