what's the best place to order new acrylic 185g?
In the process of planning a new system. the tank will be 60 x 24 x 30 acrylic. I would love for this tank to be rimless with no top bracing and to have an outside mounted overflow.
Any suggestions on a good quality/good value site or company to order through? thanks |

With a tank that big, I would suggest going with Euro-bracing. Anytime you go without ANY bracing, you're playing reefing roulette in my opinion. large tanks have quite a bit of deflections, heck, if I look at my acrylic 55 gallon from the side, I can see deflection on the front panel. Obviously a 55 gallon isn't using the same thickness of acrylic that a 185 does, but then again, it's not being exposed to the same amounts of pressure either. I'd go with Euro-bracing. Sorry, I don't have any recs on who to use though, but I'm sure someone else will chime in with that. Good Luck, those dimensions should make for a beautiful system!
