How long are you running your lights. Myabe cutting back a bit for a short while combined with everything else said above could help ease your pain in the short term.

i would wait it out for a couple of months just donig bi-weekly 10-20% water changes and then start looking into geting rid of exces nutrients btw wat are u runing for your filtration?o and i would scrub down the rocks cause that hair algea is a pita

This tank been set up for 3 weeks. I only have CC for my filtration. and yes I already reduce amount of lighting!!

The diatoms are totally normal while the tank cycles and stabilizes. Don't be surprised if you get a hair algae bloom as the diatoms pass. I'd be more concerned about the corals in the tank than the algae bloom myself. My suggestion, use RO/DI water for your water changes and be patient. You will also need to vacuum that substrate at every water change.

I'd be more concerned about the corals in the tank than the algae bloom myself.

why?

I went through the 3 phases as well.

First was the brownish
Then came the reddish algae
and together the green

These initial cycles probably took 2 to 3 months to finally clear completely.

Yours definitely looks a little worse than mine did though.

Now every once and a while I will get a little red, or a little green here or there on the back wall which usually clears itself up.

I just both few snails today...and they are working really great..Here!! they almost finish the first rock in couple of hours.

Just make sure your water params are great. It is a normal cycle. It is actually a good thing. lol
