Is it good enough?

I will be starting my first FOWLR tank within the next month, I have a 75 gallon tank, I just purchased 60lbs aragonite sand, 1 CPR dual bak pak, of course salt and hydrometer, I would also be using my Emperor 400 power filter, I'm not sure whether to use filter pads, or just carbon in the Emperor, any input would be great, and other suggestions or ideas

use your filter with pads. Change/clean once a month along with 10% waterchange...you'll be ok.

I say use the carbon also. Sounds good to me. I also use the Penguin filter. I use both to keep the very small particulate matter out of the water and it does help keep the water much clearer IMO. Good luck!
