which situation is correct?

Have just set up a 75g fowlr tank, would it be a good idea to get a uv sterilizer?

When are times right for a sterilizer?

IMO....get a UV since its FOWLR tank....it will help you control algea and disease.....It will be a worthwhile investment

And run it 24/7 - replace the bulba bout every 6 months.
