How do you "run carbon"?

I'm a little confused. Buy a fileter sock fill with carbon and place in sump? Use a HOB filter with carbon? How and where to you put carbon in the sequence of things? I have alot of littles particles flowing around that I'd like to get rid of. Thanks.

I run it in a filter sock in my Sump/Fuge. I place it between the baffles so water flow can get through it so it works efficiently.

For particulate matter you might try a micron filter pad..they trap particles and clarify the water.

I fill one of these with about 12 tbsp of AC and hang it in the sump:

If you have a sump, put it in a filter bag and drop it in a high flow area. If you don't a hob filter works fine. Put some GAC in a filter bag and put it inside the filter. I change mine out monthly.
