New Dwarf Zebra Lionfish

I just got a dwarf Zebra LF today!! He is just hiding behind my LR--still scared. How long does it generally take DLF's to chill out? I bought a few ghost shrimp for him, and am gonna put them in there with him, hoping he eats, but since he is behind the rocks, I may not know if he eats or not. Will dead ghost shrimp cause an ammonia spike or crash?? I know they don't live long in SW tanks.....any other info/tips??

I would just wait until he acts normal, then see if he is interested in any food. If he doesn't go for it, get it out of the tank before it becomes an ammonia boost.

I found all the ghost shrimp I put in there--they were all dead, uneaten. I will try a silverside tonight

I would give it some time to settle in. It will start to come out when it feels safe. The more you disturb the tank the longer it will take for it to feel safe.

How about some pics when it's settles in?

I will take some pics! He is at least in the front part of the rocks tonight--last night he was hiding behind them. So wait like a day or two to try a feeding again or what?
