Cleaner Shrimp Question

Ok, this may be a dumb one, but is it possible to overfeed a cleaner shrimp? My cleaner shrimp (Jacques as dubbed by the gf) has learned that like my clownfish, if he swims to the top when I'm feeding he can take the food out of my hand.

Problem is he's now eating everything in my hand. He use to be able to catch a few flakes going by, but now he's double fisting until he's no longer able to float. (ok it's not that bad, but it's way more then he ever ate before). Just curious for any advice.

THanks

just make him chase your hand around the tank for a few laps so he can get a decent aerobic workout to offset the excess calories he is taking in

Sounds like you have a nice healthy shrimp. I wouldn't worry.

I like the chasing idea, that would be pretty funny.... wonder if he'd do it.

They eat a lot. You can feed them 1/4" pieces of scallop or cooked shrimp and they will take it.
