More Rock

I got 90lb of show fiji today and I was a little disappointed when I picked it up. I would of preferred it to be more than 3 pieces but oh well. I'm wondering if I shouldn't get a 45lb box of fiji to supplement the first rocks. Also can anyone give me some advice on how to arrange the rocks

Usually "show" rock is the largest size. I think if you get a box of regular rock, you'll be able to do an aquascape you're happier with. It might even be worth paying the extra to pick out the pieces you want from the LFS.

You could always go for a different region of rock for some variety (Tonga, Marshall Island, etc.).

I agree, Pick out your own rock, that way ypu can decide what you want. You can get more for your money if you shop for porous rock, it weighs less than what you have.

Yeah, some smaller pieces in there along with what you have would look nice.

You could always break one of the huge pieces up into smaller ones...

Wow, seems like so little. What size tank is that? Might look into some marshall island. Little less dense so you more for your $$$. Get a couple of nice tonga branches also. That will help you on the aquascaping side. The rock does look good though. Looks like the rock on the right as some good life on it. From the pics it looks pre-cured but not fully cured? Since you are curing in the tank. Use a turkey baster and blow the dead debris off every day or so. I did this to mine and it worked well. Keep that skimmer rollin!

I vote for breaking each up into like 4 or 5 pieces.

I plugged in my shop light fixture with 4 6500k bulbs and I really liked the crisp clean white light. I know that its got to go when I start up with corals but for now I really like the look. The fish store I buy from doesn't have any rock on hand to pick from, so I have to get a box of it. I think I'm gonna see if they can get me a 45lb box.

LFS is a good idea though support your neighborhood cause they might nto be there in a year.
