Are these "something" or am I seeing things?
Good afternoon fellow reef lovers,
I've been cycling my tank with LR for 11 days now, and today I found some things I didn't see before. Could those be possible life forms or is it just wishful thinking? I apologize for the picture quality, my camera's macro function is pretty lousy, as are my photographing skills. Here's the first thing, close up (as close as I could get without washing it out completely) Here it is again: And here is something else, on another piece of rock: Again, further away: Thank you all so much in advance. --- Wendy |

Most likely new stuff emerging on the rocks, live rock is full of surprises as it matures and settles into a new home. Various things just magically appear out of nowhere

You should probably head to the local psych ward and check youself in! jk, you're bound to see many new things every single day. Heck I've had my tank for close to 10 years and I still see new stuff very often. That's the joy of reefkeeping. It's good to get an id if possible but you got to practice a little more with your cam. I would suggest getting an el-cheapo tripod from wallyworld. It will make your pics 1000% clearer. I promise!

The first round thing looks like a Money Foram to me. I don't know about the 2nd set of pictures.

I needed that. You have NO idea how much! LOLOL. I'll look into getting a Tripod. Thanks for the suggestion. Travis, I tried "googling" Money Foram and didn't find anything. What is it? --- Wendy |

yep... you have something there. We'll need much better pictures to tell you what, but it's definately something.
You'll see new stuff all the time... don't be hesitant to post your new discoveries. We love them. Here's some advice though: 1) One thing at time. 2) Really good pictures. With picture quality like those you posted, you're not going to get much but "yep... that's something all right!". If the picture you take doesn't do the thing justice, it's probably not going to be much use. |

That's the second "wallyworld" comment I've seen today in posts. Can someone tell a noob what is meant by this, is it a store or just a phrase? I tried going to wallyworld.com and umm, yeah, no, I don't think you meant that...
