As the title states, do your tangs eat their own poop as soon as they let one go. I have a Yellow and Hippo tang that are best buddies. When one takes a dump they both feast on it. Kinda disturbing when you see it, but what do I know.
The Clowns will investigate since the Tangs are chowing but they don't eat it. The Six line Wrasse doesn't touch it, Neon Dottiback, nope, and the Clown Goby doesn't even flinch. Just the Tangs. It must be a Tang thing? |

I don't have any tangs but I've read about this somewhere. It said that's just what Tangs do. They do in the wild also. It's normal.

Only some of the nutrients are processed by any fish, so the tangs are just making use of a food source. Yuck.
My bluespot bristletooth tang eats my bluelined rabbitfish poop - it actually will go right to the 'source', which annoys the rabbitfish no end.
