Dissaperaing flourescant orange uh...stuff

Ok, I just put a couple of fish in my tank so I had the blue lights only on.
I was sitting across the room not long after I had turned the main lights off and noticed this neon/florescent orange spots on a few different pieces of live rock.
I got closer and it looked like whatever it is was dripped onto it.
It kind of reminded me of the blood trail in the movie Predator except it was orange.
Anyway as I was looking at it,it slowly just faded away!
There nothing on the rock, that I can see so I don't have a clue.
This stuff was really glowing and then it just vanished!
Anyone seen this before?
There was a snail in the area of the biggest "blotch" but there was another area on the underside of a piece of rock that was about a foot away from the snail.
Also one of the rocks is liverock and another piece is DIY rock so I don't think it's something that came in on the rock.
This is really weird, I could see this stuff all the way across the room, now theres no trace.

Maybe two dimentions crossed momentarily.

Seriously, I wonder if your new fish crapped something that glowed in the blue/UV lights. Although I don't know of enough chemistry to know of anything that would glow orange. It's usually a green, blue, or red. Orange... don't know. Or, why your new fish would be have ingested something like that?

btw, I'm assuming that you didn't look at something bright before you saw this...

Maybe "dripped" is not the correct word. Looked more like it was spray painted on.Looked a lot like the lime green coraline algae except is was orange and of course it disappears.
