Hey, fareforce-

I think your guess of H. Caudovittatus is probably on the money. I couldn't find amy pics either but based on description, common name and geographical distribution it's a good guess.

Other blennies that would be common in the Tampa Bay region according to what I found would be H. pseudoaequipinnis (oyster blenny), Scartella cristata (molly miller), Chasmodes saburrae (florida blenny), or Hypsoblennius hentz.

In any case, he's very cute. Nice extra

Nice score fareforce.

So what are you running in your tanks now days? Softies, LPS, SPS?

Did you ever get rid of that mantis? or did you decide to keep him?

I ended up getting rid of the mantis, and now am only running 2 SW tanks. A 10 QT tank (although as soon as the fish are in the main display it will be an actual tank), and a 22 gal starphire show cube.

I sold all of the live stock in my 55 to start over. I hated the size of a 55, so it is now a FW planted tank.

The 22 cube will be a Caribbean style tank with everything from softies, to SPS.

I also am installing either a 180 or a 220 inwall display this fall.

OHH! We are starting a reef club up here!!! You can check out the details here!

Thanks Richard!! =)

SO he is either a Parablennius cornutus, or a H. Caudovittatus... Either way I found out what he likes to eat.. He passes up myiss, brine, etc., but love flake food.. LOL.. Didn't see that one coming!

that did look like him until i seen the other pics LOL. im leaning towards a Hypleurochilus caudovittatus myself, solely on the common name of Zebratail Blenny, and they live in the FL area.
