Question when to replace Calcium Reactor Media
Does calcium reactor media dissolve (empty chamber) and need replaced, or does the chamber stay mostly full and the media just becomes exhausted or deplete and needs emptied out and replaced?

Both, you'll steadily dissolve the media and the chamber volume will diminish, adding new media to replace it over time leaves you with a full chamber of unusable media, testing of your reactors effluent gives you a very good indication when the media is exhausted and needs 100% replacement, and you should do one at least every year IMO anyways if you have a high demand from your reactor, every 2 yrs if not.

Thanks Dragon_Slayer.
I have another question, what would be a good test range for the effluent? |

depending on the media you use, with 100% saturation of CO2 you should have an effluent dKH of between 30 and 50.
