new skimmer test kit !!!!!!!!

I could not bear to see the frustration of so many skimmer users that have no way of testing them, so I trumped Habib and developed my own kit. here's the re-post from an obscure forum due to overwhelming demand:

OK, for $19.95 +S/H, I'll sell you the "Frick-n-Frags skimmer test kit"

included in this kit is:

2 pc latex rubber glove
1 pc what looks like a 4oz harvey's plumber's epoxy with lines scratched in it, BUT IT'S NOT, IT HAS SECRET INGREDIENTS (it's rolled in freezedried phytoplankton) ahem....
1 pc dosage and result compare chart

here, y'all can cut-n-paste-n-print the sheet in case you lose yours:

"The secret reagent is divided into 6 segments called "dosage units". Select dosage depending on the level of test you wish to perform, and the performance results desired.

Instructions for use:
1) put on rubber gloves
2) take predetermined number of units and thoroughly knead the material until it is thoroughly mixed and uniform color
3) smear all over an old piece of LR or brick or something and toss into sump
4) read results from chart, lowest first to highest:

chart:
1) skimmer is acting a bit spunkier than usual
2) skimmer foams like a seriously rabid wombat
3) skimmer spews like shooting a can of shaving cream with a 22
4) your sump just got emptied faster than a high end iwaki could
5) "holy moley! 5# of laundry detergent did all fit in the washer!"
6) godzilla threw up after eating the entire bad chicken soup factory

good for 1-6 tests.

the first 100 customers get a free piece of real coral skeleton

Is this a joke? I doubt anyone would buy this... Wrapped in freeze dried phytoplankton? I see your tank going wacko...

I think he must be joking. I wouldn't put any home-made mystery witches brew in my tank.

For those that are latex allergic, you can go bare skin. Although test results will be delayed for a couple of hours.

When your sleeping...THE VOLCANO WILL ERUPT.

Heh, I now have a whole new definition of underwear too tight

actually, I overestimated that people knew what I was referring to, so the joke failed. I also do not like test result #4, it doesn't fit as well with the increasing progression of violent foaming events.

[here's the deal- 2-part kneadable epoxy for securing rocks and frags comes in 4 oz sticks. anyone that has used an entire stick(ie all 6 reagent portions, heh) knows how immensely it dorks out the skimmer. a little dorks out the skimmer a little, so when a thread appeared in the chem forum asking if a skimmer test kit was available. there isn't, and thus the door was left wide open...for me ]

so if anyone can help me resequence my test results, I would love to get your ideas. especially a good replacemant for #4 the iwaki one. BTW, the responses are great I lollered

YES IT"S A TOTAL JOKE
