RO unit ok

Hello,

I have a kent marine RO 60 Hi-S 60 gpd unit that i bought
used from someone getting out of the hobby.

Are ro units ok?
everyone always talks about a ro/di unit.

should i ditch the ro and get a ro/di unit?

Thanks,
Geee

If the membrane rejection is still good (95%+) and your unit is three stage (Sediment, Carbon and Membrane) you can add the DI cartridge without any problem so do not toss it aqway.
Use a TDS meter to measure the TDS of the water entering the membrane and the TDS water at the membrane product water output. % Rejection = (TDSin-TDSout)*100/TDSin

An "Add on DI Stage" is what you're looking for.

Sure - the BFS-72 Add on DI kit with color changing resin on this page will work well for you. You might also need some 1/4 inch tubing (see our "tubing" page) to connect it to your system:
