Has anyone had any experience with the micro-jet 450?

They are good submersibles. What are you using it for?

They are small, but just don't put out very much flow, unless you have a pico or something. What size tank is it?

I would put a maxi-jet in there and bump the flow up a bit more than what the micro-jet will. And, you won't have to worry about those tiny suction cups coming loose as the maxi's come with a rim mount. If it were me I'd put a MJ900 in there, or an MJ1200 with a hydor rotating deflector. Are you using the Aquaclear as a fuge?

Cool, sounds awesome. Don't forget your light. I'd probably lean towards the MJ1200 then as you are probably going to want to cut the flow back on the fuge once you get it going. Either that or put a couple 900's in there. Flow is good.

Melev has a nice diy fuge light but seems that it would have a lot of bleed into the main tank for this application. When I was thinking about doing a hob fuge I was going to use a Coralife Mini fixture. Links below.

oh wow...throwing lots of options at me now. I am going to have to do some looking around. I like the idea of the clip-on style. Seems pretty ideal for my setup.

Yeah, it's 13 watts vs the 18 watts of the coralife and it clips on. Pretty cool I though, especially for the small amount of area you are working with.
