Help Identifying Algae.
I have had a dark (blackish Gray) dense algae growing on the rocks in my tank for several weeks now. The texture is sorta like felt. I have been blasting it with a turkey baster but it is hard to remove from the rock. It is not slimy like cyano. Also noticed that it growing on parts of coral that have bleached.
Any idea what it is and how to get rid of it? Thanks for looking any advice you may give. -Bill |

mithrax crabs will clean off your corals and eat close growing algae they can scrape.

generic turf algae, not much else to say
![]() how's your nutrients? maybe you can ponder ways of starving the algae population down to weaken it so the crew can gain momentum back, or beef the crew.
