Rubber Gloves

I am about to set up my 12G nano reef so I am in need of rubber gloves. I was curious, if there are certain kinds that will contaminate the water or if any gloves will work. I have found some online for arounds 15 bucks (+shipping...ouch) but I was wondering if like ordinary elbow length rubber gloves would work?

Sorry for all of my question-asking topics.

I always wear my gloves... They are sold by many online saltwater retailers. I also know one that uses vetrinary exam gloves (over the elbow style).

Here are what I have (and they are on sale no less )

I have shoulder length gloves that my wife got for me(she's a veterinarian). The gloves are used for large animals. I don't want to have to explain what for. Anyway they work great. And by the way its a good idea to wear gloves(even though many don't do it enough). I also have the same gloves as Randall_James, I've just noticed sometimes they are cumbersome. HTH

Thanks everyone.

And BMGRocks...some coral's are poisoness you know. Not to mention any bacteria/chemicals (etc...) on your hands and arm that didn't get completely washed off will go into your tank setting up possible contamination. Probably 95% of the people I have talked to use gloves to do something or another in their tank. (Not trying to be mean or sound smart or anything, just explaining why I asked)

yes, i have heard, and am very aware of Zoa Toxicity....but i have yet to meet someone at any of my LFS, who uses gloves, its just intresting to me, We all simply wash and scrub our hands with nothing but water before we dive into our tanks, and wash afterwards

I perform no matinence if i am in a rush..and if an emergency were to strike, i guess i'd be diving in without washing.

Zoanthids are low on my list of reasons, I worry more about trading bacteria or other pathogens with the tank. Besides, it knocks my skimmers offline if I do not wear gloves..

I agree. The use of gloves is high on my list of 'must haves'. I wear shoulder length gloves every time my hand goes into the tank.
