Little white starfish

I've got a crazy infestation of these little white (what look like) startfish. They are only on the front glass of the aquarium. I dont know how they could've gotten there as the tank is brand new and has no starfish, maybe they were hitch-hikers? I can't get a picture because they are too small. I think ive seen some people with a thread with the same type of things, is this bad?

Most likely asternias. Mine were bad. Ate up all my coralline and were irritating my zoanthids. Common hitchhiker. Some are good, some are bad

for three weeks straight I've been picking them out of my tank I get about ten a day, now about one. If you don't keep these guys in check they will breed out of control IMO. I saw a guys tank out here for sale maybe three hundred gallons that got out of hand with these little guys I swear there was one per inch on the glass, I had to bail. some people think there just scavengers but I don't want to take a chance of not being able to control the little buggers.

Yeah thats what happened in my tank. They were everywhere I looked. I got a pair of Harlequins to clean them up. Been about 3 months and I still see a couple here and there.
