Opinions on John Guest Fittings
Just wondering, are there problems or has anyone had problems with the John Guest quick connect type fittings? I'm going to finally "hardwire" my RO\DI because I'm sick of constantly changing the sink from RO\DI to normal. Hooking it up for drinking water also with a bunch of bypasses and valves to get RO water only. Many of the fittings on my setup are John Guest and I will have them under constant pressure of approx 70psi. Are compression type fittings better or are the John Guest ok?

There are certainly no guarantees, but I have had systems with JG fittings and the compression types. If the tubing is cut square and burr free both have worked just fine for me.
I think the fittings are really not the biggest risk in the system. There a many more places for leaks.
