why don't you like the euroreef? If its because of the price I agree although if you can find extruded acrylic they are only 179.

I would rate them NW200 > RS80 > 9005

a skimmer does'nt have to be expensive to be good.. i do like euroreef skimmers.. actually alot, but i dont think the bang for buck factor is there.. i do like the smaller models better than the mid to med large models better, but the main reason i put it last in this list, is the sedras seem to die just as often as the others if not more, and the replacement parts are astronomical. the octo would outperform the er, and if the pump failed, he could get a new one for around $50. also they are not so expensive youare afraid to try and mod them.. now the tunze.. i would pick it because i have never heard a bad word about them. they perform as well or better than most, but have a much smaller footprint, and are the quietest skimmer on the market according to thier owners.. i have never had any experience with the tunze though.. but i have had 2 e.r. skimmers (still have one) and my lfs has quite a few of them as well.. i love the rs80.. everytime i got in the store the one they have is doing well..

Its internal, and its not a recirculating like most Octo skimmers, I think thats why at least. There is still a day left as well, it should go up another hundred.

I have a rs-80 promo on my 75. No mods, no gate valve. Its skimming like crazy, very quiet. The adjustment pipe works well with just a small twist. No microbubles coming out of the discharge tube. Im very happy with the product. I was thinking about the Octo, but it seemed as if there were a number of mods that needed to be done to maximize its function. As a newbie, I wanted a product that was highly rated, reliable and simple.
