Question External overflow designs??

Hi,just wondering about external overflows is it:

A)better to have two separate overflow boxes?

B)better two have one larger central overflow box?

C)Have one drain per box with returns over tank back?

D)better to have drains and returns in same overflow box?

E)Can you have one box contain drain and emergencey drain and second overflow box two returns with no drains?

F)Durso or Cj standpipes?

This will be on a 72"*30"*24" custom AO tank and will gravity feed a h&s skimmer with a low sump through-put using a ehiem 1262 return pump

Thanks for your time.

I don't really think theres much of a major difference besides style. I'd want to have one big overflow that is the length of the tank on one side. The large surface area will allow better surface skimming I'd imagine. So the larger or the more the better.

I'd want the returns in the overflow to hide them, but plumbing the over the top gives you more options.

Emergency drains are great to have so put one in if you can.

I may put in a standpipe if the overflow box is large.
