Drains in floor with PVC ran from sump to drain for draining tank/sump for water changes. Hot/cold water taps for washing and RO/DI. Exhaust fans/hoods to exhaust heat to outside.

Yeah I have it ran from all three of my tanks down to one length of PVC in the basement to drain. Has an all time siphon so all I have to do is turn a valve here or there and the siphon starts automatically on its own.

A sink in, for looks and value, an adjacent bath. And a very adequate power supply.

I second the power supply. I'd have at least 2 15-20 amp circuts put in that room. I also agree with the floor drain and sink.

Hmm... I would put a "dip" or "hole" in the floor under the tank to accomodate the protein skimmer and other annoying eye sores. You should have all your stuff rise out of the basement floor electronically. How sweet would that be? or maybe something to camoflague all everything but the tank. A closet or something. Good luck man. Call if ya need some help, i work for beerand "algae". I live in michigan.
