Arrow Ricordia has two mouths

My blue Ricordia has two mouths. Does this mean that he is beginning to split, and if he is, can I use the rubber band method to speed up the process. Thanks.

Yes, it's starting to split. I haven't done the rubberband method personally, but I've heard it works well. A couple times, I've just used a razorblade and cut the ricordia in half between the mouths when I was in a hurry (takes forever for it to split on its own). That worked very well, but I have heard the rubberband thing is less stressful on the coral.

You can cut it and it will split and grow back fine if it's healthy.
