When should I add more

I am bringing home a 90 Gallon tank already been running for 9-10 months. I am transporting all the water with the tank and also all 60lbs of live rock as well. I am wondering how long should i wait to put more stuff in here since i am not really starting from new. Also it would nice to have some input from a bunch of people on what to put in it???

I am looking for a tank with lots of color and just tons or things to constantly grab your attention. I am not going to get into corals I would like to just keep fish and the live rock i have. Let me know what you think.

How many fish?
What kinds of fish?
What will grow from my rock and how long will it take?
When should i put a cleanign crew in and what critters should it consist of??

Any answers to all questions or some are welcome. Thank you

How many fish depends entirely on what corals you plant to keep. For a 90 gallon with sps corals, I would go with maximum of 5 fish. 1 large 5" and 4 small 1".

You can add fish when algae starts to grow imo. You can also buy some chaeto macroalgae that will compete with bacteria for ammonia(the number 1 fish killer)

I would also get a chunk of cured live rock to introduce the bacterial populations.

Fwiw, I think you should hang out in the chemistry forum for a while. And read the stickied page on reef chemistry articles. 1 month being there is like 3 years of reef keeping.

Good luck!

Its a good idea to have a refrence sample for alk test kits. 1.1350 grams of baking soda in 1gallon of distilled water=10dkh. Check your alkalinity test kit!
Algae is Mother Natures phosphate remover

Current Tank Info: 220 galon mixed reef.
