Talking I fell pray to every reefers dilemma

Well, it started like this, I originally got a hold of a 29 gallon tank. It was free, I said to myself, I want a saltwater tank. I came on here and researched for a while then decided 55 gallon will do better. I was luck enough that a friend gave me a 55 gallon. I sat and thought about it today, and I don’t got allot of room under my 55 gallon stand for a good sump. With what I want to do with my reef tank I need a bit more room. So guess what folks. I just bought a 75 gallon and I am going to build a stand for it so I will have all the room I need. I fell victim to the problem that strikes every reefer, bigger is better. I hope I don’t see a 90 I like. So what I now plan to do is to make my 55 gal a QT tank. I will drill a hole in the side of it to make a drain for quick water changes. Everything I already got is more that capable to run a 75 so It’s just a matter of throwing a few hundred more dollars into the pile of money I have already spent.

At least it is a pretty nice QT tank!

I just wanted to share with you guys, thank you for comments and for just reading!

well I was thinking about my tank I ordered and knocked out some rough plans

This would be what I would want the stand to look like from the frount view.

The inner workings of the tank.

I think my RO/DI auto top of will be in the kitchen.

Let’s see, I got a bunch of goodies that will work on new tank I bought an aqua lifter a RO/DI PFO VHO Retro kit. I think I will buy some MH now! I’m going bare bottom with it so I got to buy another chunk of starboard, that won’t be too much. Gladly I bought everything allot bigger than I needed. So, most of it will just swap right over.

I GOT ALOT OF PICTURES OF MY STUFF SO IF YOU WANNA SEE ANY JUST ASK.

Personally, I would use the smaller original tank for QT, not the 55. Easier to medicate, etc.
