Unhappy How Many Fish Would You Keep In A 120 Galloon Reef ???

Im planning on startin a 120 gallon reef and i was wondering wat the maximum amount of fish would be ??

That is going to be impossible to answer because it all depends on what fish you're talking about. Try giving a centerpiece or few favorites and then asking what might work with it.

There really isn't a maximum amount of fish. Fish will vary and effect your bio-load differently. Best way to find out if your stocking list is ok is to post it here with your tank info.

here is my list right now ( it had way more fish before but cut down the number) :





ANGELS

• 1 flame angel
• 1 majestic angel

ANTHIAS

• 2 lyretail anthias

BASSLETS

• 1 royal gramma


BUTTERFLIES

• 1 copperband butterfly
• 1 heniochus butterfly

CLOWNFISH
• 2 false perculas

DAMSELS

• 8 green chromis


GOBIES

• 1 clown goby
• 2 neon gobies

TANGS

• 1 blue hippo tang
• 1 powder blue tang
• 1 yellow tang

WRASSES

• 1 cleaner wrasse

protein skimmer will be the new fission from current usa
n i plan to have from 100lbs- 120lbs of LR in dat 120 gallon tank

Yea, you're stocking list is still way too big. First off, a 120 gallon tank is way too small for any large angel. The dwarf angel will be fine as long as you watch him around the corals. As for the tangs, Pick one or two at he VERY maximum. I have no real experience with mixing gobies so can't imput there. Before you add any fish to your tank I would recommend doing some research first to prevent an accident.

Didn't you post this in another thread? I remember some advice being given on some of the fish in a reef system as well as keeping things like cleaner wrasses which many feel should be left in the ocean.

Just a suggestion but you might try bumping the original thread instead next time. It is helpful for those giving help to see what has already been said.
