Looks like they are getting started. Site needs some work, the colors are off and not much variety yet. Hopefully they'll come along well.
Wish them the best

amf82380, you are right about the prices but they are claiming right in the banner that is it wholesale prices when it is retail pricing. If you are going to say wholesale pricing then have wholesale prices.

yeah i agree with you there marinelife but on the same hand theres alot of places out there that advertise "Lowest prices any where" or "lowest Prices On the web" just a sale slogan I mean dont get me wrong I think people should have to live up to what they say but then again if that was the case 99.9% of the places we shop at would have to change their sale slogans lol

Online retailers don't make that much compared to brick and mortar retailers. In a lot of cases online places only make a few percent profit due to the increased competition.

well to give you an idea on how much markup there is even on online retailer such as foster and smith and marine depot marine depots mark up over whole is 112.5% and foster and smiths is just shy of that at a little over 100% markup I work for a lFS and Our One whole saler also happens to deal with both companies also.

Looks Fishy to me, reasonably priced thats a Laugh and more.Check out aquaTraders now that is a good price.I bought 130 Watt with Actinic lighting for my 56 Gallon High Top Tank for $70.00 .Best deal I ever got and it works great and they are in a Different part of the Country then me.The local fish shop was going to charge me $220.00 for the same thing.I paid $20.00 for shipping $90.00 total this site this guy is trying to hook us with is still twice as much as AquaTraders.

actually once again the only thing i have to do with this is is a customer I AM NOT THE OWNER!! (just thought I would mention that again since some seem to have missed that in the previous post) and as far as marine depot I am still fighting that for either a refund or a return on a heater that I bought from them 3 months ago that i have returned twice before due to the same malfunction. (personally I think they keep sending me back the same product) and as far as aquatraders yeah i would buy from them I read on a fourm a while back where it took them 2 weeks to respond to a question some one had about one of their products and and another fourm where it took them a month to ship a replacment ballast for one of their lights and lets not forget the person that lost his whole set up due to fire cause by the aquatraders light. so keep in mind price isnt always the deciding factor if excellent customer service and people that stands behind there customers requirs spending a little more then so be it at least i know if i have a problem with a product i know im not going to loose time and money waiting for some of the other online places out there see its some of the people like some of you that make it hard for these small buinesses to make it in the world cause no one ever wants to give them a chance well personally I would rather hand my money to someone that has put forth the effort to do things for them selves then to hand it to people that already have more money then they need and that pay someone to do the work for them yay for small buinesses!!!

I don't see anything wrong with promoting one's business. If that is indeed his, good for him. I just ask that he be upfront about it. If you disagree with the prices, then don't buy. Simple, don't waste too much of your valuable time arguing.

It seems amf82380 is the smart one, If indeed it is his store which it is NOT . He did not have to research one price or wait for customer feedback he has what he needs from the critics that be. As for price i have seen used name brand skimmers and other junk sold with near new prices here by some of the same people.

Thank you trae its not my store but I resind my previous statement about the mag drive pumps on marine depot thank you for posting the link (you know who you are) I couldnt seem to find them and yes your right but like i have said I am still waiting for a response I sent to marine depot about a quesiton about one of their products and it has been over 2 weeks since i sent them the email as for smcaquatics.com I asked them the same question and had a response in a matter of 20 min Like I said in the previous message Some shop for more then just price you cant put a price on good customer service and support when it comes to online Buying IMO and like trae said about the prices if you dont like them dont buy im not twisting your arm just thought I would give everyone a heads up on a new store looking to start out and keep this in mind if you were trying to make a living would you want someone cutting you short on pay after all dont you think the owner has costs and a family to feed just like the rest of us?

I don't really care if it is your store, but you have defended it plenty of times to make me think it is. The prices are terrible. Have you been paying for the heater to ship back and forth? I will assume you haven't been, so Marine depot is actually providing great customer service. They have been eating the freight charges trying to get you the heater that "you" want. Bad customer service would say that they will just credit your account.

geez, all he did was provide a link to a store and he gets flamed?!....he had a good experience with them and is sharing it with you...that is all...if you don't want to buy from them, then don't...but don't freak out on him for sharing a link

Lets see.. 3 months into Saltwater and now he knows how to care for Marine life and run a store. I refuse to believe that.
Like i said before you will buy someones used equipment at "near new" price, but bash someone because you think they own a store and they want to sell it brand new?

you just cant do anything around RC anymore without getting yelled at... im kind of tempted to go find another website... its about that time.. everyone on here is just to "smart" or a "know it all" when it comes to this stuff apparently... someone tries to share something and everything goes to hell.
