That's pocket change compared to things like Gem Tangs (~$3,500). Unfortunately, there are even more expensive fish out there.

We will have tickets available at the meeting on Saturday.
Remember, we will also have a 14g oceanic biocube at the meeting in the raffle.

Petsolutions used to advertise a wrought iron angelfish. It was $1,800 and exempt from their one week warranty. You ordered it and they said it would arrive in 4-6 weeks. I called and just asked about the wait. They call their supplier who calls a guy in Japan who goes and catches one for you. It's like asking a freind when he goes to Florida to bring you back a very expensive sgt.-major damsel. That's what I call special ordering.

Aside from the fact I am gutted for not being there, I have really enjoyed this thread... Especially nix_tank's rather extended caption for the picasso pic.

lol, I dropped the mind filter for a sec. I try to keep it on the up and up around here, I have a tendency to go on random rants if I don't watch it.

Ehh, it was late-ish at night....err, something like that.

lol

Sheryl, peaceinusa has the link, but if you prefer to save some time, here's the picture.

Yes, MarineCenter is the place to look at expensive fish. It worries me that some fish have a price listed as "Call for availability" or something like that. If I had to pick anything from the site, I would want a proven mated pair of Interruptus Angelfish (Centropyge interruptus). They're $1,400 each, so a pair would be a minimum of $2,800. And, if I they had a pair available, I'm sure they would charge more because it's harder to get a pair.

I think the Gem Tang is beautiful, but I couldn't put down that kind of money on something that might not make it through shipping. If I put a down payment on a car, I want to know that it won't break down when I pull it into my driveway for the first time. Or at least the peace to know that if it does break down as I roll it down the street, it will be taken care of.

That angel is sweet...but there is this thing about being married.

Funny...but a $1,400 fish and a wife I don't believe are mutually exclusive.

Just a weird theory, but I just don't think that it would fly where I am at right now.
