After my tank crash in March i lost all my sps it was all me i had no time to check up on the tank after a ten hours power interruption the tank when down hill.
I lost my large four Years old Emperor my ten years old PBT and two other fish .
I had no chose it was a family emergency i had to spend 75 days going in and out of the hospitals after my pop had a very bad almost fatal car accident .
I had two choose take the tank down or get easy to take care corals with out me need to do to much and it will look good for now so i chose to go to a mix reef very minimum sps mostly Mushrooms soft corals and LPS so here it is all open up the fish now can ZooooooM acros the tank with out need to worry about crashing in the any sps.

I love how open it is! Looks amazing to me. How is the rock work done?

Looks like you're off to a great re-start. Fantastic colors-- what kind of MH bulbs are you using?

I just got all the large rocks and pile it in a row in the back of the glass easy staff i just adjust as i need to . I was careful to be sure i have the rocks with the pointy side toward the Bottom glass of the tank so i can clean under the rocks , I had to cut back on my flow alat now .

I use three 14K 250W MH Hamilton SE on IC ballast and two 96W 460 PC.
I try with the XM 10K but they don't like the high par . The corals look much better and they like the lower par .

Previous 90 gallon mixed reef TOTM April 2009.
