How do you rinse your food?
After doing some extensive reading I has bee concluded that some frozen foods contain phosphates and when introduced into aquaria can raise the amount of phosphates in the water. In order to control this, it was said to rinse your food before feeding. My question is how do you rinse your food? Do you use RO water or water from the tank? I use the cubed frozen brine shrimp. Thanks

purchase a brime shrimp net. Run r/o water or tank water over the food in the net a few times--even sqeeze the food--it won't go through the brine shrimp net.

That should work, I have been rinsing mine in RO water three times before feeding.

Just any real fine net from, say, Petco.
I use a whiskey shotglass filled with tank water: put a thumb over it to drain over the sink, refill with tank water and release the food.

I thaw out in RO water, then rinse through a BS net with RO water a couple times... although then I add tank water, and feed using a turkey baster...
