AGA 120.... one or two MegaFlows?

Does the standard AGA 120 (not tech series) have one or two MegaFlows?

Does anyone know if the Tech Series comes with overflow kit? Or do you have to purchase seperately like you do with the standard AGA?

The LFS I go to usually sells the tank with it but the other LFS doesn't. So i guess it depends on the store whether or not they want to rip you off or not. You probably don't want to buy the overflow kit though, it comes with dursos, which are loud, and with those barbed bulkheads that are terrible for plumbing your sump. HTH.

yea, the aga megaflow kit really is garbage, I wouldn't trust those bulkheads for anything, and they are barbed too. You could just as easily make your own and save the $180 ( $90 for each megaflow at the LFS by me)

You can buy regular bulkheads from any online vendor and you can buy the hoffman (not sure on the spelling) gurgle buster standpipe or use the herbie silent overflow method. I'll try looking for the link for you.

Yea, they are $60 each here. I would like to try "hard plumbing" with the new tank, but I have no idea how to do that I am still researching it. I've always just used the flexible clear tubing which I don't like.

well if you stick with aga megaflow kits, i think my build thread, red house, shows some pics of my plumbing. Not sure if there are close ups of how i went from flexible tubing to hard though.

Hey NG,

I take it you are considering the 120 for your inwall in your new house?

I would strongly suggest going with at least a 180 if not a 220, I wish I had. Now I have to do it again...or would I have just wanted a even larger tank?

Hey CP,

Yea, I think we are going to go with a 120. It's my favorite tank personally... (sides nanos) and we cannot afford to do the 240 right now with the new house expenses. I don't like the 125 depth and if I went with the 180 I would still want the 240 so we're gonna go with the 120 for now until we can afford the 240 and use the 120 probably for something kewl or sell. Hopefully Ocean will last in the 120 for a few more years.

Have you considered the 120 Perfecto ? My wifes 120 AGA is OK but the 2 megaflows take up a lot of room. The Perfecto 120 has 1 corner overflow and comes with the plumbing kit. Much more real estate this way.
