Fish eyes
I have a Powder Blue Tang. He has what looks like a very tiny scratch on the outer layer of his eye, right in the center of his pupil. It is only about half (or less) as long as his pupil is wide. and about as thin as frog hair. (very small) But with a black background very easy to see.
Now we all know that this tang is extreamly active. Therefore a pic of something this precise is not even an option. Here lies the question. I have noticed that his eye looks like it is going to shed the outer layer? like a snake. It is not cloudy. just around the edge of the eye looks like the clear outer layer is starting to peel? is this what happens if a fish injures an eye? or is this a new problem coming about? Lucky

Does this scratch seem to be affecting the tang's behavior? If not, it may heal on its own. Best option would be to QT and let him recover on his own and avoid infection.

What you might be seeing is an eye fluke (Neobenedenia) and because they are somewhat transparent when they are on they eye (even though they are called eye flukes they can infest any exterior part of the fish) the can give it a cloudy appearance.
