So, how did you use the syringe?

Did it have a needle attached to it, or were you just sucking up the bubble algae into the syringe's plastic cylinder?

I have a very small bubble algae patch on a rock, but I can't add another tang to my 90g, that's for sure.

my wife is very reef safe, but horrendously expensive to maintain. i'd recommend a cheaper model.

I have taken a pin or needle, and melted it into the end of a small acrylic tube. I get the tube hot on the stove, stick the pin in, and squeeze with a pliers. I then use it for things like poking bubbles, and, even more fun, putting a piece of food on the end, and making my yellow tang spin in circles for a while.
