Holy cow a thread split

Boscoe update is that there is some "stuff" moving through the plumbing and he is keeping small amount of food down, so no surgery today. Probably another 1-3 days of observation and some poor vet-tech is doing "poo-sifting" waiting to see what comes out. Hopefully everything will work it's way out in the end and he won't need surgery

Sorry about your pup Bax! I've lost a few good ones over the past few years.

Just finished reading this thread Hop, and cruising through some past ones. Your photos are amazing, hats off to you! I only hope that I can take some that are half as good at some point in time.

I also admire your "Timex" attitude, (takes a licking and keeps on ticking for the new generation). Many people would have screamed and given up after facing what you have! You are an inspiration to all of us to keep on keeping on .

Good luck with your puppy, my sons dog, well used to be his, has experienced this 3 times now. One surgery with tons of yuck removed and 2 hospital stays (long story, he also has 3 legs ). Sounds like your's may have a happy ending!

Me either for a split... Every once in a while the RC gremlins attach though and remove several threads from the subscribe list.

Thanks lunch... He came home today after driving the vet nuts and eating the rubber mat they put in his kennel. So he must be almost back to normal. I'll get back home tomorrow sometime.

Thanks Johnny! The pics are all camera though. Someday I'm going to take the time to learn the stupid thing, but for now I just enjoy using it and taking pics. That is a great way of putting things about the timex attitude. I just wish my life would calm down for a couple years

Hey Kelli! Didn't even know you were a frequent here I gave the full details ont he other site, but basically he started coming around today and ate the mat in his kennel at the vets, kept some food down so they sent him home with Mrs. Hop. We need to monitor his progress over the weekend. All and all I think he was just driving the vet nuts!

I don't think there is anything to take any pics of other than HA Maybe some growth shots since the corals are still doing OK, or were last week when I was home. I should get home tomorrow and have a few toys sitting waiting for me...

So, that means we can expect pics of the new toys, and how they get set up too in addition to the coral growth shots then...

Greeting from civilization! Made it home a couple hours ago.

Was happy to see that Boscoe is home and doing well, although he definitely lost some weight and forgot about being potty trained.

All my reef stuff made it except 120lbs of sand. Yes I officially hate the look of BB in my tank I did get some goodies, namely a GEO kalk reactor, a vortec with battery back up, some things to hook everything up, salt, some additives and some other things.

I was disappointed to find my fox face dead. I hope it was natural causes as everyone else looks great. I'm not sure what the life span of a ff is, but he's been going strong in my tanks since 04 sometime I think.

I got the votec hooked up, but need to mount it correctly and hook up the battery back up. I'm running the kalk reactor with some vinegar to clean the oils off and may hook it up later tonight. I have a TON of homework to do and need to put a new floor in the office and paint next week, so I'm not sure how fast much of anything will happen. Think I'm going to order some HA eating critters next week as I'm not sure I'll have time to cook the rocks with my current schedule, but we'll see.

Welcome back Hop, I'm sure you and your family are glad for you to be home.

That's good news about Boscoe and bad about your fox face. It's sad to lose anything but especially when your gone and wonder if being home would have made a difference .

We can't wait to see your new toys, your installs are always so neat and organized.

Figured that I would at least post some pics of the new toys. I'll get some coral pics up a little later and I'll discuss my plan of attack on the HA after I figure it out

First off, for anyone who wanted to know, here is a pic of Boscoe at home with shaved leg from the IV and all. KnuckleHEAD!

Here is the new vortec, I have nothing mounted. I ordered two plus the battery back up, but for some reason only got billed for one. No worries, one is probably enough right now:

And finally is the new kalk reactor. I need to get a few more parts to make it work right, but it is up and running:

I'll see if I can get some coral shots up later. I took them more for personal log and growth comparison, so the few I took are not that great.

So, wait. You only received one vortech or you paid for one but received the two?

I wish... The order was for two, but I only received and was billed for one. Probably a good thing since my reef budget was depleted by the million dollar mutt
