Wow! 17 total now!!! I wonder if they would discount further with 20+ threshold??

10+ BK orders - 15% off + Free shipping + 5% off additional products
15+ BK orders - 20% off + Free shipping + 5% off additional products
20+ BK orders – 23% off + Free shipping + 10% off additional products
30+ BK orders - 25% off + Free shipping + 10% off additional products

Do you think this would be possible??

I know I personally am going to order $5000+ of additional items for this tank I am building this month so the additional discount will work out well for me (if they have the lighting/other products available I need).

Alright, big group hug for Terry! Wait, this isn't a done deal yet. For now, you get a slap in the face. But seriously, thanks for starting this thread T and for getting the ball rolling.

How about a check of how many are seriously in at 15% off or 20% off. I'm in at either.

I think that might be a bit of a stretch. But you never know.

Well, if we don't hit the mark, are you willing to settle on 15%?

I know we've got a lot of interest, but I really want to see how many people are serious enough to pull the trigger. I'm hoping we can at least get 10. 15 would be great. I think we're pushing it beyond that.

Where the heck does the water exit from?? I have a 400 Internal and it has a similiar standpipe but a tee about halfway up for the water return.
I can't figure out from the pics where the water exits on a SM skimmer

The sm skimmers have a submerged exhaust IIRC.

reefkoi, Jim is right. the standpipe is submerged, and that's where the water exits, so a stable water level in the skimmer section is a must for proper performance

192clark: many sites. premiumaquatics.com aquariumspecialty.com are a couple

All I can say is this:

I seriously hope all you guys on the list are serious buyers! Cuz I started this thread to discuss BK skimmers, and it would be awesome to have another 20 owners here

LOL, you can thank Los for the idea of a group buy. All I did was throw some ideas out to actually see it happen!

One dropout. He realized that the skimmer footprint is too large for his sump.

I wonder if the SM would work? RRL, the SM 250 is configurable to a degree. Did you check the footprint on that?

Hey Too Fly,
Graf-X brought up a good point, I am down for the buy regardless, but I'm curious if I purchased all my items on my wish list (Vortechs, etc..) would I be able to apply the discount to them as well? Just curious, but if I'm pushing my luck then I'm happy with just getting the discount for the skimmer.

T-bone,
I just realized I haven't even acknowledged you throughout this whole time and this is your thread. Thanks for allowing us to totally hijack your thread! By the way, I love your kitchen, I am gonna redo mine some time next year since I'm building my tank up this year. The company were gonna go with looks similar to your cabinetry...it's called scavolini. What company did you use? Hope you don't mind me asking.

I'm waiting on the second vendor to get back to me. For those of us who are torn between two skimmers, I was told to go with the the lesser in price for now. This was requested by the second vendor.

The first vendor is now offering 20% off and FREE shipping on a minimum of 15 orders. On an order up to 10, it's 15% off, FREE shipping and 5% off shopping on future orders. He carries over 1000 items and has access to over 6000.

I'm still waiting on details for the two potential orders to Canada.

Paul
If they will ship to Canada, I'm a for sure on a SM 200 internal.

No Worries. lol. I don't remember who our cabinet maker is. It was one of those situations where we pointed to the cabinets that we liked "We like that one"
