I got a used one for my 55, and love it! very simple to get going and adjust. Allthough I am very happy with mine, I have heard that to get the most out of it you have to do the mods, mesh and gate valve. But then I read that the gate mod is not good for the 1-x, because it makes it difficult to control the water level. So i dont know about that personally, I'm sure someone will chime in who knows...I like mine though! What size is it for?

it's for a 65g, so I would assume the G-1X would give a 65g crystal clear water!

That it will - i know its rated to like 125 or 150, but Ive been told by different people, its more like 90. so if you plan on going bigger than that anytime soon maybe bump up to the g2...either way youll like it.

I have one on both my 75 and my 58. I am very pleased with them. Both don't have any mods on them. Found them very easy to set up. And haven't have to adjust anything in the last six months. Just clean the salt out of the venturi and you will be good to go.

There is one thing that I did do. I used my dremmel to open of the venturi a bit, seems to improve its performance.

Oops, there is only one "m" in dremel, but here is a link to what I used.

http://www.dremel.com/en-us/tools/to...=66204&I=69676

It is a hand held multi tool -- has many uses. I used a bit that allowed me to widen the inside of the venturi. Later on I will take a picture of how I did it.

oh my mini-g i opened up the venturi to the point the plastic was paper thin. The drill bit actually stretched it out so it turned white.

i also hooked up a little air pump to it and it works great... now

Sorry it took so long, but I just took some pictures of how I widened the venturi for my G-1X

The venturi itself,

The dremel

Widening it,
