SCMAS Meeting Friday May 16th

Club Meeting, 5/16/2008

When: Friday May 16, 2008 @ 7:00pm
Where: IHOP, 1001 E 17th St, Santa Ana CA 92701-2546
To learn more about SCMAS: www.scmas.org

Unfortunately due to a scheduling conflict this months guest speaker has been rescheduled for the July meeting. Instead we will take the time to host a discussion on:

"Summer Reefing - Are You Prepared?"

As many of you know. summer is the season that drives most from this hobby. We all know that this forum will be littered with threads about tank disasters due to hot summer temperatures. We will discuss temperture control methods and other options to help reefers beat the heat!

Nice... Very nice indeed.

I was really impressed with what I saw of them... If they work half as well as they're built, they should be a winner!

Curious, Jon: what model, and what's the rated capacity? Hell, watts used would be nice to know, too...

Spill the beans! Within RC guidelines, that is... Don't wanna get our knuckles slapped with a yardstick (ala "the Penguin").

+1.

Absolutely.

Hey, Richard. Your profile says "Semi Professional Bum".

You've been doing it long enough... Haven't you graduated to pro yet?

In the Post Office they put up pictures of Americas Most Wanted.

We'll put your pic up in all the LFS' - that'd be the equivalent, no?

"Wanted for using shop tools to dismember precious ocean life, then selling them "for a profit"!"

Life as the fall guy...

Heh.

Well, the trick is to stay out firing range... But I have a tendency to hunt things down, so trouble kinda finds me...

Perhaps you've picked up on that.

Sorry... Now I'm a thread hijacker!

Thread Pirates!

Aargh!

Now I need a parrot.

Parrot FISH...

I'll shut up now... (No comments, eh?)

We now return you to the actual subject matter...

New Raffle tumbler for SCMAS!

from this:

to this

OK its not the best acrylic work but it does have a few nice features:
Automatic rotation and variable speed
Two integrated slots to insert tickets
Two paddles to flip tickets and two paddles to mix tickets front to back
The ability to remove tickets while the tumbler is in motion

Come to the meeting and fill it with tickets and watch it spin, and hopefully it won't catch on fire or something bad.
