Total bull. I would have got my money back if it took more than 5 days to SHIP my order after they charged me or it.
Rather pay more for LFS rocks than deal with all of that nonsense. |

I also had problems with him and lack of communication and the rock I received was no better then the economy on his website when I had paid for the premium.
I am convinced he sent out what he had just to fill an order instead of shipping me what I paid for.. and this was after weeks of waiting with no response to emails. Never again =) |

marco rocks has / had a great reputation. I have ordered many times from him since I setup and maintain sw tanks as a side job. I have always been 110% satisfied with my purchases in the past.
BUT I too ordered a 50# box of the "marco rock" on April 20th and I still have not received it or got an answer on when it will ship. If it was for me personally it wouldn't be a big deal.......BUT this is for a customer! Now my customer is getting ticked off and I have no answers for them. I'm thinking I just lost a customer and probably a few future customers since all of my jobs come from word of mouth. I do not think I will "pre" order again. I will not order again unless it is in stock when I order it. Just to cover my own butt. |

Same situation here.
The guy is a liar ! You will never get a response to any e-mails until you cancel your order, at which point you will get the classic e-mail (i have tried twice with this clown !): "The order was ready to ship when you cancelled. Too bad you do not have patience ....etc etc " What a way to run a bussiness. Stick with the tired and true places. The product he offers IS NOT worth this throuble. |

Angie - I would just order from bulk reef supply and get your order in 3 days. Seems they have it in stock.
bboshart - don't hold your breath until you get a tracking number and confirmation from UPS that they have it.

Apparently he's shipping DHL this time because he says UPS has lost too many of his orders I am not counting on anything until I have a tracking number that shows the parcel on its way.
Why would he pre-sale and take money for something that he does not have yet to ship? I can only speculate that he has a cash flow problem and needs to pre-sell before he can order/pay his shipment? They say to have a successful reef tank, you have to be patient but this was not the kind of patience that I was thinking of... Waiting since March 26th... |

I still believe that lower quality live rock, is better and costs the same, and the cycling time is less.

I never got a traking number and he never responded to emails, but the rock showed up yesterday and I love it. I kind of expected the lack of response as it sounded like he's a very small and just starting company. So he's probably trying like heck to do everything himself. I'm very pleased with the rock, I got the premium shelf - pictures on my build log if you want to see it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I got my tracking number today as well. My order shipped. It is awsome rock and I'm NOT knocking marco rocks. They are great...when the rock is available. This is the first time I have had to wait so long to get it. I will continue to order from him because I and my customers like the rock. I just don't think I will preorder again. Marc is trying to get the rock out asap, but he needed to actually get it first. There were a number of problems with this shipment that couldn't be helped. I'm also guessing that with everyone getting their tax returns and stimulus checks, he got a flood of orders that he just didn't antisipate. If you average sales of X pounds a month and all of a sudden you quadruple that amount, there are bound to be some supply problems. Just give them time to get things settled. Before this the customer service has been very good. I "hope" this is something that doesn't happen again. < Angie ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
While I keep seeing the same thing being said over and over again on all the different websites,
"he got over-whelmed" "delays in shipments" etc, etc. This *MAY* have been an acceptable 5 months ago when the first complaint about him was "where's my rock and why wont you answer my emails" But these problems do NOT continue for 5 months. The stimulus checks just came in this month, so thats not an acceptable answer. Especially for those that ordered 2 months ago, and even for those that ordered a month ago. bboshart - glad you FINALLY got your email tracking number. STILL haven't gotten mine. Imagine that. Whats really ****ing me off about this whole situation, is the fact that someone that ordered 20 days AFTER I have ordered has a confirmation of shipment. Oh and as for the credit card company and disputing the charge, here's a direct quote, "while we were able to contact the dealer on your dispute, he has informed us that the product was on pre-order status and will be shipping out next week" I got that 2 weeks ago. Again, imagine that.
