Melev has been working with me on this. Since the flow restriction is coming out of the membrane, we've determined that there's something wrong with that. He's getting me a new membrane out immediately. The unit is new. It's been sitting in my garage for a week and I just found the time to connect it up. I've tried the unit at various sources in the house and tested the flow to each device. Marc is awesome and has really taken alot of time to resolve this for me.
As for the pressure meter, you can pick one up at lowe's or home depot. They cost about $8. I'd rely on that more than I would your water company. They know the pressure coming in from the lines, but not necessarily what's flowing through your faucet. The further water travels, the more pressure it loses. I have a pressure meter connected with a "Y" fitting so I can keep the gauge on at all times. Oh and my water temp was 67. |

I believe that water temp is too low. But then again, i could be wrong.
I have a four stage RO/DI and it seems that only two of the three canisters are filling with water. The third seems to be wet but not full of water. Does it too have to "break in" ?

I don't think so. According to Marc, I should be producing 4 gallons of water an hour. I ran my system almost all day yesterday and came out with 9 gallons. Not even close to what I should be getting.

Stick in there Ajilon... it may be frustrating now. Melev is VERY reputable and reliable... I personally haven't worked with him but from many many stories, he goes above and beyond to help people (especially if its something he sold you ) The money you'll save in the long run should be enough for you to stick it out.
Plus with gas prices these days... not sure how far you are from your LFS... but you wont have to waste any driving back and forth every couple of weeks.

I have 5 tanks. For water, it's an every other day thing. That's the main reason I bought my own unit.
You're right though, Melev is awesome. His responses were immediate and he was more than willing to take the time to go over everything to troubleshoot the system with me. I couldn't have asked for better customer service. Great guy too. I liked his attitude and personality. |
