What would you think is a good size for Sohal?

I would love to have one but even a 110 long is not enough.

I had one in a 210 and traded him in when he was about 7 inches and still a good boy. I'm planning a 400 and I'm still not going to put one in. They just get too aggressive. Too bad, it is one gorgeous fish.

My newest addition that arrived today. Still acclimating the tank for the tank.

I think it depends on the size, I've seen many fair very well in 150gal, 200gal or less. But when they get bigger, they get more dominant and more agressive. A 400gal+ would probably be best when they are adult size. No doubt in any tank they will become the boss.

Yeah there is no way I would want one in less than a 400g. I have a small 2" blue tang and a small Powder Brown that will be going in the 110g. I think I might go with a Purple tang and that will be it for tangs.

I have a yellow, regal and sailfin in the 120gal and that will not last for more then another year before having to upgrade

I am hoping a 280 gal will do--it is all the room I have --but it will stretch exactly wall to wall

I'd imagine that a 280g will do nicely providing the space to swim, rockwork etc. is taken into consideration. Hope it goes well when you upgrade. Are you going to post a build thread?

Great shot of your Kole, pledosophy. I've said this many times but it always makes me laugh when people post shots of their tangs head on because they always look like they are laughing at me

Thanks. I got him about a week ago, so far so good.

He is laughing at you. I showed him your picture to get him to smile like that.

I personally don't have a probably with keeping tangs in captivity, I have a Sohal among others...
