![]() So far the PBT and YT seem to be getting along well. They get a little upset with each other when the PBT tries to go into the YT's cave, but other than that there hasn't been any chasing around the tank or anything like that. ![]() Here's a quick short video of all the idiots in my tank ![]() ![]()

Hey Swifty, you really should let your fish know the tank is bigger than 10 gallons so they don't have to stay in that corner. Or were they bad and you put them in timeout ?
Love the PBT, where's that PM you were gonna send me. LOL |

Haha... no kidding... I have no idea why they stay in that corner. I feed from the center of the tank. Everyone has settled in that corner except one Yasha goby and my Coral Banded Shrimp.
Sorry about that... It definately slipped my mind... Shoot me a PM or send me a link to where I posted, and I'll get you a response.

Probably b/c the two Tangs differ in shape they get along? My Powder Brown/Blue tangs aren't being very friendly. But they are fine with the Pacific Blue and Sailfin.

I've seen it often recommended in smaller (4ft) tanks to purchase different species of tangs such as one acanthurus & one zebrasoma in order to increase their compatability.
However, I'm not advocating that this is correct as I am unsure how much fact or truth is behind it. It may be another one of the "general consensus" kind of statements.

In general tangs with different colors and body styles "get along better" then tangs with similar body shapes and/or color. That's why a Powder Brown and a Powder Blue will fight more often then lets say a Powder Blue and a Yellow.
But... Powder Blues are notorious for being bullys.. and will fight with almost anything placed into the tank after them until they work it out... Powder Browns are better about that but not always.. i guess with everything it's just a general thought. The tank will play a big part I think. |

This weeks water parameters:
![]() Phosphates are showing 0, but I'm pretty sure that's because the algae is consuming them. However, I have definitely began to notice a significant decline in algae throughout the tank. This could be due to a number of things: - Phosban reactors hooked up - Turbo Snails added - Feedings cut back to once daily - Cheato maintenance |

![]() So far the Yellow Tang, and the PBT have been pretty tolerant of each other. However, they are always on top of each other. As far as one never lets the other out of his sight... I guess they want to make sure the other one doesn't get a special treat when they aren't looking ![]() |

Wow, I'm so impressed with the detailed log! What program did you use to get that going?

![]() Thanks... I was pretty worried about the PBT for the first night, but after inspecting him closely today under the bright lighting in the 90g tank, the black spots actually look like they are scars of some sort... maybe from capture or something??? So I am a lot less worried about the black ich returning now. In fact, it may never have even been black ich in the first place.. but I guess better safe than sorry. ![]() |
