Thank you

The whole thread in one shot... That's impressive, as it is certainly becoming quite a task these days

haha... it was just a slightly stressfull situation , but the outlook seems promising so far.

My only major concern is my open brain coral, as it has not fully opened up for the past 3 days or so.

However, this morning before I left for work I saw that it had its tentacles out, so hopefully that is a good sign.

Finally got around to ordering all new filters for my RO/DI unit plus the additional housing and anion cartridge.

I figured I would just replace everything, because I forgot to track everything on my old unit. Once I get this installed I'm going to attempt to collect as much data as I can from it to see how efficient the unit actually is.

Also, looks like I may have a PAR meter on the way here in a few days. A member of the local reef club has been generous enough to lend me the use of his unit.

I'm going to be extremely interested to see what the T5's are putting out. Also, I'm trying my best to keep myself from wiping down my reflectors before the test, that way I can take a dirty vs clean reflector readings to see if there is a significant difference or not.

Funny you should mention that I am enjoying a Coors Light as we speak

Just put my daughter, son in law and three grandchildren on a permanent flight to Halifax(well at least for 4 years)--what a tear jerker for my wife and I today. She at her moms drinking r and c and I am at home draining a few brown pops.
Any one from Halifax here---I might be joining you sooner or later

Scott, That's a tough one. Well , I wish them well and I expect you'll be travelling quite a bit. Better train someone to take care of your reef when you are gone. My daughter moved a number of years ago first to Atlanata and then to Boston. She is home this weekend for Father's day.I'm lucky though since my other daughter lives 5 miles away and my grandson spends most of his time with my wife and I. My son has moved out about 6 months ago but stops by with his fiancee often. They live about 20 minutes away. Now I know how my folks felt when I went off into the army and later on moved all over NY state for my job.

Wow Scott... as some of the other have already said, that's a rough one. I have a cousin and uncle in the Marines, and it's always a big deal when they make it home for a week or two. I come from a rather large, close knit family, and know first hand just how rough it is when a member of that group leaves for an extended period of time.

However, one of the great things about this technology driven era we live in today, is that everyone is just a phone call, email, or mouse click away

Hey guys, I need some help with my open brain coral... As I mentioned somewhere above, it hasn't fully opened for about a week now. I thought the current or lighting may be to intense for it in the spot I selected, so yesterday I moved it to a new location. However, it still doesn't look much better. Any Ideas?

Here is an original picture:

Here it is today:

When I went over to the tank I realized that it is starting to open up again in the new spot... However it still just doesn't look as healthy to me as in the original picture?
