Yeah, yesterday was a loooooooooooooooong day.... Guess I still hadn't recovered from the 4am trial.

I think I made up for about a month of lost sleep today though

Anyway... I need to go feed the tank, hook up the new filters on the RO/DI unit, and I would like to test the water parameters before I head back to bed, as I didn't sit down and do it this past weekend.
I'll test the params tomorrow... I've been lazy all day so I figure why mess up a good thing?

Back to bed it is

I'm back boys and girl(s). Did you miss me?
Well it looks like you've been busy Tswifty. Well all up until recently.
Damn there's been spiders, air conditioners, filters, beer... I missed a lot.
I always love finding something new and creepy in my tank. I'm always just afraid that something is gonna crawl out onto my hand when I'm in there.

DC was hot, but still nice cause the museums are air conditioned.
Lewes Delaware was nice, but not hot enough for the beach.
All and all it was great though, thanks for asking.

Yeah it has definitely been an eventful few weeks to say the least.

Glad to see you made it back, and enjoyed your vacation.

Have your fish discovered the left side of the aquarium yet? Or do they still all prefer to hug the right wall?

Not really...

I see the tangs occasionally picking at the rocks on the left side of the tank, but they all seem to be in love with the rockwork on the right, and swim in and out of it all day.

Although The PBT heads into the cave on the left side of the tank at night.

haha, that's so odd. have you tried putting the food on the other side? You might blow the fishes mind if they see one day that their beloved algae clip is residing on the left side of their home.

Yeah... my only guess is that it may have something to do with the flow... but I highly doubt it, because that corner has a pretty strong current moving through it.

Oh and I decided to take a FTS at lunch today... not much changed, as always the white of the sand throws off the camera pretty bad:

have you tried slightly different angles when shooting FTS. take a bunch of photos trying to minimize the white glow from the sand, might have to get more level with the tank.

I usually take them on a downward angle which helps cut down the glare. I took that picture straight on, which is part of the reason why the sand is so bright. There is a brightness control on the camera, but that darkens everything, so the sand will still remain "x proportion" brighter than the rest of the shot. There isn't a white balance adjustment in the photo mode. However, there is one in the video mode which I accidently stumbled upon the other day. So there may be a similar function, that I have yet to find. Eventually I'll break down and pick up a new camera, and a tripod, but for now I'm keeping my funds allocated towards livestock and my ever growing list of misc supplies that I "would like" to have

Thanks... and it showcases the fact that my tangs could be kept in a tank half the size.

See look... secretly I cut my tank in half and now only have a 45g tank

T.J. or anyone else--familiar with a web cam. I just set one up to talk to my daughter and grand kids in Halifax. But what program do you use with it. I really don't like looking at pictures of myself
LOL
