Can I get some suggestions on adding a FUGE? PICS!!

Hi Everyone,

I've attached a picture of my plumbing for a 135g DT. I really want to plumb in or utilize the existing sump & put in a fuge. How can I do it with what I have? The sump is a "All Glass' acrylic 25g sump. Orginally made to be a wet dry. I don't have anyting in the section where bio balls would be. Should I have live rock or something???

Thanks,

My refugium is a separate tank. Standard 20 gal. It's drilled at the top on one end. I have a pump in the first part of the sump that pumps thru PVC to the refugium. It flows out of the fuge back into the return section of the sump. I have a flourescent 39watt bulb in a cheapo clip on light from Home Depot (~$10). And thats it.

Excuse the mess. I've rearranged since these pics, but you'll get the idea.

First pic. Water comes down into tank on right "catcher tank" covered to reduce splash and salt creep. Flow out of that tank into traditional sump, much like yours. Refugium is on left.

Again, it's been cleaned and revamped, but, water flows into the refugium on right and flows out thru a bulkhead on the left back into the sump in return section right before it gets pumped back upstairs to display tank. You can see the cheapo light on top. I was getting alot of coralline in there and tons of crud to export wastes. Just what a fuge should do. Oh yeah, it was crawling with pods!
